Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to personal data on this website under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). It is short because the site does very little.

The short version

• No cookies are set. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising or social pixels.
• No third-party requests at all — fonts, styles, scripts and images are all served from this domain.
• The only personal data we receive is what you type into the enquiry form and send.

Controller

[registered entity name and address — complete before launch], email hello@umardesigner.me. A data protection officer is not appointed, as the criteria in Art. 37 GDPR are not met.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web server, the host records requests — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user agent — for the purpose of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify acts as a processor under a data processing agreement, and transfers outside the EEA are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The enquiry form

When you send the form we receive the fields you completed: name, email, and optionally company, country, VAT ID, engagement, budget band, timeline and your brief. We use them for one thing — replying to you and, if it becomes a project, running that project.

• Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, together with the consent you give on the form for storage while the enquiry is live.
• Retention: enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within twelve months. Project correspondence is kept for the statutory retention period that applies to business records.
• Recipients: the form is processed by Netlify Forms on this domain and the message is delivered to our mailbox. It is not passed to any marketing tool, CRM or mailing list.

Local storage

Your currency preference (EUR or USD) is remembered in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is not a cookie. Clearing site data removes it.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Email hello@umardesigner.me and you will have a response within one working day.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, by design.
